BEC’s HSE management system is based on the Total Quality management (TQM) principle emphasizing on continuous improvement and integrating HSE aspects in every business endeavor with a proactive approach to HSE MS.

The company has well established HSE policy, emphasizing “The personal responsibility for the safety rests with the line management of the company and Safety is considered a prime factor of its business” – therefore HSE is everyone’s responsibility and is corporate philosophy.

The Senior Management provides strong, visible HSE leadership & commitment and ensures that this commitment is translated into the necessary recourses to develop, operate and maintain the company’s HSE MS, HSE Plan and procedures to attain HSE policy objectives on continuous basis.

BEC has well established corporate HSE department employing more than 60 qualified, trained & experienced expatriate and national (Omani) HSE staff who are responsible to ensure compliance monitoring and review of all aspects of HSE MS covering entire organizational activities.

In addition the HSE department undertakes various project specific HSE training courses and imparts various HSE task specific training to all the employees. This includes HSE training to all the National employees in the Arabic language. A special attention is given on Defensive driving training & monitoring on driving activity.

In addition the HSE department undertakes preparation of HSE plans, procedures, risk assessment (HEMP), Audits, Inspections, Incident investigation, analysis and track the close out action & report. They also keep update on local HSE legislations and apprise the management.

With this integrated HSE Management system BEC has achieved considerable success in completing most of the projects with ZERO LTI by implementing most stringent international HSE standards.
