M/s Universal Engineering Services LLC (authorized Cummins Power generation distributor for Oman) a Bahwan Engineering Group company, successfully hosted a two-day technical seminar – Power Train 2025 on August 5th and 6th, at a hotel in Al Khuwair, Muscat. The event drew an impressive turnout, with over 120 participants from various government and private sector organizations, reaffirming the company’s commitment to fostering knowledge exchange and engineering excellence in Oman.

The seminar focused on the Electromechanical aspects of Diesel power generator systems, with in-depth technical sessions led by the Cummins Global Application Engineering Team. The sessions were spearheaded by Mr. Georges Daccache, accompanied by Ms. Dalia Khalid and Mr. Dinesh from the SAE (Sales Application Team) from Cummins UK.

Mr. Chaitanya Karanjgaokar (Director Sales – Powergen Middle east) and Mr. Mohammad Mushtaq – Territory Manager for Oman also represented the Cummins team from Cummins Dubai regional office.

Their presentations covered a wide range of critical topics, including generator set sizing, Noise reduction, fuel efficiency technologies, design aspects and all considerations for a Diesel Generator based power plant, best application practices, and advancements in diesel generator technology.

Attendees included Industry-leading consultants, engineers, and National Engineers from Govt and Private sector industries across Oman, including oil & gas, telecom, utilities, construction, and infrastructure. The highly interactive sessions provided participants with valuable insights and interactions making the session a prefect platform for knowledge sharing into emerging technologies and practical solutions for optimizing generator performance in challenging environments. Cummins as a global manufacturer appreciated the depth of technical aspects that were discussed and interactions from Young National Engineers.
