BEC Group executed EPC works for the 220kV GIS system at Sur Power Station, including the GIS building, control building, and full MEP fit-out. The scope covered GIS (22 bays), switchgear, telecom systems, substation automation, and power cabling. BEC coordinated with OEMs from France, Sweden, and Korea for equipment delivery and testing. The facility enhanced power evacuation efficiency for Oman’s national grid and demonstrated BEC’s capability in complex GIS substation implementation.
